Omaru Onsen, a Wasabi Farm and Matusumoto

David in his yukata and tabi

Us, sitting around in our yukata drinking tea in our elegant room

One of the beautifully laid-out courses in our seven course dinner (!) at Omaru Onsen

Waitin' on a train...

There it is, our first Shinkasen (bullet train).

A GPS view of the road we drove to Hakuba (an interesting re-introduction to mountian driving for David, made more interesting by having to drive on the left!)

Our rental car

The ski jumps at Hakuba, where the 1998 Winter Olympics were held

Not a great view of the Japanese Alps, but this is the best view we got while we were there

David and I at the Daio Wasabi Farm

Matsumoto Castle
We've reached the half-way point of our trip. From here we go today to a Bonsai museum and then to another onsen and then we go on to Tokyo for the Gion Matsuri (festival).

That trip looks amazing! I love it when my worlds collide, I only wish I could have been there with you guys! It's probably best that I wasn't because you would have had to tear me away from the sparkle car display....wow those were pretty! Glad you guys got to do so many amazing things!
